The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced a scheduled power outage across several parts of Bengaluru on Thursday, October 30, due to essential maintenance work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).
The power cut is expected to last for five hours, from 11 am to 4 pm, and will impact more than 100 localities across the city. BESCOM has urged residents to plan accordingly and complete essential tasks before the outage period.
“This maintenance work is crucial to ensure network safety and enhance reliability,” BESCOM said in an official advisory, requesting citizens’ cooperation.

Residents are advised to:
- Complete any critical electrical or online work before 11 am.

The planned outage follows weeks of intermittent power cuts across the city. Bengaluru has witnessed frequent electricity disruptions since August, often lasting up to eight or nine hours in some areas. Authorities attribute this to ongoing infrastructure upgrades and preventive maintenance by KPTCL and BESCOM aimed at ensuring long-term power stability.
