Option 1: Using a WordPress Plugin (Recommended)

1. Install & Set Up the MailPoet Plugin

MailPoet is a popular plugin for sending automated emails to subscribers.

Steps to Set Up MailPoet:

  1. Install the Plugin:
    • Go to WordPress DashboardPluginsAdd New.
    • Search for MailPoet – Emails and Newsletters.
    • Click Install NowActivate.
  2. Set Up a Subscriber List:
    • Go to MailPoet > Subscribers.
    • Create a new list for subscribers who will receive post notifications.
  3. Enable Post Notifications:
    • Go to MailPoet > Emails → Click Create New Email.
    • Choose “Latest Post Notifications”.
    • Select the subscriber list you just created.
    • Customize the email subject and content.
    • Set the email to be sent automatically when a new post is published.
  4. Test & Activate:
    • Send a test email to yourself.
    • If it looks good, activate the automation.

Your subscribers will now receive an email whenever you publish a new post!


🔹 Option 2: Using Jetpack Subscription

If you already use the Jetpack plugin, you can enable email subscriptions.

Steps:

  1. Install and activate Jetpack.
  2. Go to Jetpack > Settings > Discussion.
  3. Enable “Allow users to subscribe to your posts via email”.
  4. Readers can now subscribe and get email notifications for new posts.

🔹 Option 3: Using an Email Marketing Service (For Large Websites)

If you want more customization and control, use an email marketing tool like:

How to Set It Up with Mailchimp:

  1. Install the Mailchimp Plugin (MC4WP).
  2. Create an email list in Mailchimp.
  3. Connect Mailchimp to WordPress.
  4. Enable RSS-to-Email Automation:
    • Go to Mailchimp’s Campaigns > Create Campaign > RSS-to-Email.
    • Enter your blog’s RSS feed (https://yourwebsite.com/feed).
    • Mailchimp will automatically email your subscribers when new posts are published.
