India is witnessing a sharp shift in weather patterns, with contrasting conditions across regions. While northern parts are expected to remain largely warm and dry, southern and coastal areas are likely to experience intermittent rainfall, thunderstorms, and high humidity levels.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for several regions, warning of possible thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds, and isolated rainfall across northwest, northeast, and central India.

Delhi-NCR

Delhi and surrounding NCR regions are expected to experience mostly stable weather over the coming days. Skies will remain clear to partly cloudy, with daytime temperatures ranging in the mid to high 30s°C, while nighttime temperatures may drop to between 18°C and 22°C.

However, some areas—including North, Northeast, West, Central, and Southwest Delhi—could see isolated light showers and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning. Gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h are also likely later in the day.

Nearby regions such as Faridabad, Gurugram, and Noida may witness partly cloudy skies with occasional brief showers and thunderstorms. Winds of 20–30 km/h may occur in isolated pockets.

Chennai and Coastal Tamil Nadu

Chennai and adjoining coastal districts—including Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Puducherry, and Karaikal—are expected to experience unsettled weather conditions.

Light to moderate rainfall is likely at various places during the week, along with isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. The rainfall is expected to be intermittent rather than widespread, resulting in short wet spells rather than prolonged rain.

Hyderabad and Telangana

Hyderabad and nearby districts are forecast to see a mix of cloudy skies and intermittent rainfall. Areas such as Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, and Wanaparthy may receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 30–40 km/h are likely, especially during afternoon and evening hours. While heavy rainfall is not expected, occasional showers may lead to slippery roads and minor local disruptions.

Mumbai and Western Region

Mumbai and nearby regions including Thane, Palghar, and Raigad are expected to see largely stable weather with partly cloudy skies.

Light rain or drizzle may occur in isolated areas, but widespread rainfall is unlikely. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain in the low to mid-30s°C, with high humidity levels making conditions feel warmer.

Coastal areas in South Konkan and Goa may experience similar patterns, while interior regions of Maharashtra, including Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada, are expected to remain mostly dry with only very isolated showers.
